Welcome Avalon’s new Communications Director: Jake Koenigsberg!

Greetings!

I’m Jake, Avalon Consulting’s new Communications Director!

I have written fundraising copy for hundreds of nonprofits over the past two decades, and today I am thrilled to bring my experience to Avalon to help enhance and expand its creative services.

I started my fundraising career at Craver, Mathews, Smith and Company (CMS) in 2001, where I learned the ropes from industry legends, Roger Craver and Jerry Huntsinger. After four years at CMS, I went out on my own. In my 17 years as a freelancer, I have had the good fortune to work with some of the world’s most essential and effective nonprofit organizations.

While my name will never appear on any of the letters I write, I take immense pride in knowing that I have helped these inspiring organizations fulfill their critical missions and contribute to making our world a better place.

Throughout my time as a freelancer, I have had the pleasure of working closely with Avalon’s passionate and talented staff and remarkable family of clients. I have always admired this trailblazing, women-led organization, and am so excited to become a full-fledged member of the team!

In my role as Communications Director, I will be working with Avalon’s client teams, our in-house creative team, and our marketing staff to support all of your direct mail and digital messaging needs.
