The Latest in Avalon Volunteer Work
- On August 21, the Maryland Food Bank team spent the afternoon packing boxes of frozen meat and produce. The team packed nearly 5,000 pounds of food that will provide just over 4,000 meals for hungry Maryland residents. Click here to see how you can volunteer and make a difference!


The Student Conservation Association kicked off its year-long “Servabration” on August 25 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., with a day of fun-filled activities and speakers. This year’s event honored the National Park Service’s 99th birthday. Some of our staff attended, while one volunteered to run informational and picture booths alongside SCA staff members.
