Libby Abbott

Fundraising Program Manager

Libby comes to us from one of our beloved clients, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts — and she brings with her a wealth of expertise in fundraising and cultivating donor relationships. While at the Kennedy Center, Libby managed their mid-level donor program, doing everything from thoughtfully stewarding her portfolio of Circles Members, drafting and scheduling multi-channel communications, planning special benefit events, doing database management, and ensuring all projects stayed on budget and on schedule.

Libby is (and always has been) passionate about the arts: She studied oboe for her undergraduate degree, then pursued a master’s in arts administration. Her background in classical music ultimately inspired her career in the nonprofit world, and she brings that creative, curious spark to all her projects. As a Fundraising Program Manager at Avalon, on any given day you’ll find her collaborating with the copy and design teams on direct mail campaigns, fine-tuning production schedules, and digging into the statistics to uncover new insights.

Based in Washington, D.C., Libby enjoys cooking vegetarian food, listening to live music, tending to her small garden, and brewing her own kombucha.

Libby has long wavy blonde hair and is wearing a black boatneck shirt in front of a grey textured backdrop.
